We comply with legislation, official regulations and good data processing practices when processing the personal data of our customers, employees and co-operation partners, as well as other stakeholders.
The Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences (SeAMK) observes a high level of data protection. We only process your personal information for pre-defined appropriate purposes and only when necessary.
We protect our services by technically appropriate means and regularly train our staff in the principles related to data processing.

Review right
Everyone has the right to check whether information about him or her has been stored in the personal registers of Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences and, if so, what information has been stored in the personal registers. The review right is personal. The request for review must be made in writing and signed by hand or the request can be made in person. You can review your own personal data free of charge once a year.
If the data subject detects an error in the data while reviewing the data, the data subject may request that the error is corrected. The Privacy Statements explain how the information about yourself can be reviewed and how you can request the correction of an error in your own information. For other registers, the contact persons named in the Privacy Statements will provide further information on the exercise of the review right and the request for correction.

Data Protection Officer
According to the Data Protection Regulation, Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences must have a designated Data Protection Officer. The task of the Data Protection Officer is to monitor the legality of the processing of personal data and to help Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences to implement its data protection obligations.
The Data Protection Officer acts as a contact point for the Supervisory Authority and as a support to the staff and data subjects in matters related to the processing of personal data.
